"All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." - Pablo Picasso
Regardless of whether or not they're actually art majors, there are tons of artists at UT. Closet Artists is a place for you to rally together with your fellows and explore the creative passions that you may not be able to otherwise find time for in the hussle and bustle of academic life. Here, you have a time and place for making art, whether it's just doodling, or more serious drawing, painting, making films, animation, comicking, and so on. To this end, CA is a tight-knit group of people who gather weekly to create their own masterpieces. We're engineers and scientists, teachers and historians, philosophers and writers. And occasionally, there's an art major too. We're friends; we're family, and together, we're awesome.
CA meets twice weekly on Fridays and Saturdays to give you somewhere to just relax and draw. You're welcomed to bring your homework too and just swap off between working, drawing, and conversing. Occasionally, CA will screen movies or shows of interest, though you're perfectly welcomed to work or draw through those too. Additionally, CA organizes events such as karaokes and dinners for its members and works on a number of group projects including an annual artbook. Sound fun to you? Then come on over! What else do you have to do on a Friday night anyway? Physics homework?
